You will develop strategic relationships across critical indy and performance agencies. You will partner with Client Partners, Mid-Market sales, product/measurement, and broader agency leadership to deliver a cohesive engagement plan. You will also arm agencies with the knowledge and tools to innovate and sell through ideas featuring X — including measurement guidance via partners.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with commercial influence; the remit may grow over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Agency Portfolio:

Increase revenue across agency-driven accounts and unlock new advertisers

Build trusted partnerships, expand and deepen relationships, and facilitate active communication between agencies and X

Partner with Client Partners and Mid-Market sales on agency support plans, growth strategies, and day-to-day matters to remove blockers

Develop and deliver educational programs (Lunch & Learns, product updates, bootcamp-style training) on products, brand safety, measurement, and best practices for advertising on X

Demonstrate how and why people use X to help marketers identify and inspire authentic uses of X for their brands and clients

Ensure agency voice, opinions, ideas, and feedback are conveyed back to Marketing, Product, and Measurement — including input on advertiser insights and needs for new products, features, and solutions

Develop first-class programs that uplevel creative and commercial thinking and deliver positive business impact for agency clients

Discover, catalog, and create great X usage stories that shape how agencies and brands understand X

Coordinate with holding-company / Big 6 agency leads where coverage overlaps, while remaining the dedicated indy/performance owner

Strategic 3P Partnerships:

Own and grow the third-party measurement partner portfolio; build senior relationships and plans aligned to X’s product and commercial priorities

Translate measurement capabilities into clear value for partners and practical guidance for agencies and sellers

Drive joint go-to-market with partners and cross-functional teammates; prioritize highest-impact work and keep partner vs. agency messaging coordinated

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

8–12+ years experience in an agency, media sales, agency development, or adjacent commercial partnership role — with meaningful exposure to independent and/or performance agencies

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about agencies, social/digital platforms, and/or measurement

Deep expertise in social media platforms and how agencies plan, buy, and measure brand + performance media

Strong client-facing, sales, and commercial skills

Familiarity with the indy/performance agency landscape and (ideally) relationships across it

Experience owning or scaling strategic partner relationships (measurement, technology, media, or adjacent)

Comfort leading discussions with agencies and partners

Ability to partner within cross-functional teams, consult, and bring ideas to the table

Ability to build internal networks and get things done through collaboration across teams

A self-starter who takes initiative, balances quick turnaround with longer-term strategy, and is comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment

Alignment to X’s vision and core values

PREFERRED SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Existing relationships across indy/performance agencies

Experience with agency support plans / joint business planning alongside sales

Background spanning both brand and performance agency models

Prior work at a major social/digital platform, a performance agency, or a measurement partner
