About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
APAC is a key region of focus for our operational and value chain decarbonization roadmap, as well as other climate-related goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic projects and provide clear, high-impact analysis and deliverables that help to evolve our regional strategy and accelerate carbon reduction. As part of these efforts, you will turn strategic insights/recommendations into action by working with various stakeholders, including key cross-functional leadership. You will partner with external experts to shape our perspective on carbon, energy, and other efforts and enable the broader decarbonization ecosystem.
The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
Responsibilities
• Provide strategic and technical oversight for our carbon reduction, clean energy, and water strategy in APAC.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to develop and execute strategic initiatives in pursuit of Google’s net zero and related sustainability commitments.
• Lead efforts with external experts and industry partners to drive progress on regional climate priorities.
• Manage an evolving portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives that advance the climate operations organization and enable its core objectives.
