Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations & Services, this is an important and exciting role that will identify, sponsor and/or deliver strategic business initiatives that will shape the function and ensure that they can meet short- and medium-term organisational performance goals.
The Business Improvement Manager will also head the O+S function’s productivity agenda, productivity pipeline and ideation processes, and facilitate the development of a productivity culture & capability within the team. They will also facilitate the delivery of important cross-functional topics including ensuring effective performance monitoring & reporting systems and tools, and aspects of the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) and people plans
Strategic Activity: Working in partnership with the Operations & Services (O+S) management team you will provide and head up activities managing the strategic activity relating to the future state of the Operations and Services function & business activities.
Project & Program Management: You will steer and manage projects related to the future state of the O+S function, developing and implementing projects to achieve our goals.
Digitalisation & Automation: You will review our processes to identify and implement opportunities to simplify, digitise and automate. You will then also sponsor and support the adoption of technology and the development of both digital customer experience and plant automation through identification of relevant technologies, benefit quantification, and roll-out including training where appropriate.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: In cooperation with colleagues in Operations & Services functions and the productivity organisation, you will develop and monitor regular management information and data to monitor business performance.
