Director, Sales Strategy & Monetization
Job description
As Director, Sales Strategy & Monetization, you'll help shape the growth strategy for NBCUniversal Local's advertising business across broadcast, streaming, digital, and emerging media platforms. You'll lead initiatives that drive revenue growth, expand monetization opportunities, and help accelerate key areas including NBC Spot On, programmatic advertising, retail media, and small business solutions.
Reporting to the SVP, Business Development & Strategy, you'll partner with senior leaders to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities across streaming, ad tech, and traditional media. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that offers the opportunity to influence business strategy, work directly with clients and agency partners, and help shape the future of local media.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute strategic partnerships and deals
• Lead or support sales analytics projects in coordination with HQ and local market sales leadership
• Drive the launch and execution of new growth initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and success
• Identify and cultivate new clients and revenue streams across holding companies, regional, and local agencies
• Oversee financial modeling and performance analysis for all growth initiatives
• Lead or support strategic planning and execution across both digital and linear platforms
Qualifications
• Minimum five (5+) years work experience within media BD & Strategy, investment bank or management consulting firm. Focus on television/cable, digital ad sales, and/or ad tech a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
• Deep knowledge of the digital, mobile and/or television businesses
• Extensive understanding of linear and digital revenue analysis and tracking
• Knowledge of Local Agencies and Local Sales ecosystem and players
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York in a hybrid capacity
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age

Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $120,000-175,000 + Bonus and Long Term Incentive Eligible
