Field Service Engineer
Location: Ipswich
Salary: 32,000 – 42,000 + Overtime (Time and a half Monday to Saturday, Double time on Sundays & Bank Holidays)
OTE: 45,000 – 50,000

33 Days Annual Leave (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on a fleet of material handling equipment across an assigned geographical area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring maximum equipment efficiency.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and update service records.
- Communicate with customers regarding equipment breakdowns, availability, and repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with Forklift Trucks is required.
- Relevant experience in vehicle maintenance, plant machinery, powered access, agricultural machinery, or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Previous roles such as Field Service Engineer, Vehicle Technician, Plant Fitter, Forklift Technician, or Maintenance Engineer are highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical skills: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
- Good computer literacy and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
