• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role with/without direct reports.
• Experience planning data center infrastructure.
• Experience using data analytics to derive insights and drive process improvements.
Preferred qualifications:
• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
• Experience building consensus, managing competing priorities, and aligning technical and business partners.
• Ability to guide and align cross-functional teams toward shared goals without direct authority.
• Skill in translating complex data into clear narratives for executive leadership.
• Proficiency in applying analytical methods to validate capacity planning and infrastructure strategies.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As a team manager in DCP, demand allocation & planning team, you will lead the team responsible for shaping Google’s long-range data center capacity allocation. In this role, you will direct scenario planning, manage high-stakes capacity allocation trade-offs, and act as the principal planning liaison between abstract resource planning, and infrastructure delivery teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of program managers and data analysts. Set team strategy, foster career development, and scale team operational rhythm.
• Own and direct the Alphabet-wide TPU and GPU DC plan of record. Lead in-depth capacity modeling, scenario analysis, and trade-off frameworks under tight resource constraints.
• Serve as cross-DCP lead for ML trade-off decisions, executive escalations, and priority balancing.
• Drive strategic initiatives for DCP planning & system enhancement and workflow automation in collaboration with engineering partners. Enable scalable planning automation, standardized change-control policies, and improved power/space efficiency across fleets.
• Lead effort to codify technical and business requirements across Google product areas, bridging demand intent with physical supply execution.
