• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in the music industry, digital media, or a related entertainment field.
• Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
• Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
• Experience with the Australia and New Zealand cultural landscapes, music ecosystems and digital streaming trends.
Preferred qualifications:
• 7 years of entertainment industry experience with a demonstrated record of initiating and proven track record of driving successful marketing or content campaigns for high-profile music releases.
• Experience with financial models and music copyrights.
• Extensive experience managing C-level relationships with record labels, artists, and talent management.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Responsibilities
• Act as the lead point of contact for major music labels, prominent independent labels, distributors and aggregators, industry bodies, and music curation channels within the Australia/New Zealand (AU/NZ) territory.
• Maximize Product Activations of your managed partners (e.g., labels and artists).
• Develop and execute long-term partnership strategies that align partner goals with YouTube’s business objectives. Provide data-motivated insights and best practices to partners to optimize content performance and audience engagement.
• Manage agreement negotiations and renewals.
• Execute Local to Global initiatives, helping AU/NZ artists reach international audiences through strategic programming and cross-regional collaboration.
