Multi-Systemic Therapy Team Supervisor

Cheshire East Council

Crewe, United Kingdom · Permanent ·

Job description

Are you an experienced systemic practitioner or team manager looking to shape and lead a new service from the ground up? We are seeking an exceptional Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) Team Supervisor to establish and lead our new Multi-Systemic Therapy service, bringing this internationally recognised, evidence-based intervention to children, young people and families across Cheshire East for the first time.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of an innovative service from its inception. As Team Supervisor, you will help build the foundations of the service, embed the MST model, develop a high-performing team and influence how support is delivered to some of our most vulnerable children and families.
Multi-Systemic Therapy is a proven, intensive family and community-based intervention designed to help young people remain safely at home, improve family relationships and reduce the risk of care entry, offending and school exclusion. As the service lead, you will be at the forefront of delivering lasting change and improving outcomes for families across the borough.
The role will involve:
• Providing clinical and operational leadership to a team of MST practitioners.
• Embedding fidelity to the internationally recognised MST model and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based practice.
• Supporting, coaching and developing staff through reflective supervision and professional leadership.
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across children's social care, education, health, youth justice and wider partner agencies.
• Driving service development and helping establish a strong culture of restorative, strengths-based and relationship-focused practice.
• Using data, outcomes and learning to continually improve service delivery and impact.
Previous MST qualifications are not required. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training in the licensed MST model, together with ongoing coaching, supervision, consultation and fidelity support from an MST consultant.
We're looking for an inspirational leader with significant experience of working with children, young people and families with complex needs. You'll have a strong understanding of systemic approaches, a passion for evidence-based practice and the ability to motivate and develop others in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
In return, you'll have the rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new service, influence its future direction and make a lasting difference to children, young people and families across Cheshire East. You'll join an ambitious and supportive organisation committed to innovation, professional development and delivering excellent services for residents.
If you're ready to lead the launch of this exciting new service and help transform outcomes for families through Multi-Systemic Therapy, we'd love to hear from you.
