This is an exciting opportunity and you would play a leading role in the delivery and development of a modern hysteroscopy service, providing high-quality, compassionate care to women across the pathway while helping shape the future of the service.  Whilst this job is fixed term for now, the establishment of a sustainable expanded service is our top priority.
About the Role
As a Nurse Hysteroscopist, you will work autonomously to assess, diagnose and manage women referred to the hysteroscopy service. You will be responsible for delivering complete episodes of care, from initial assessment and investigation through to treatment, follow-up and discharge, ensuring patients receive safe, timely and personalised care.
Working within national guidelines and evidence-based practice, you will use your advanced clinical skills to undertake hysteroscopy procedures, make complex clinical decisions and provide expert advice and support to patients and colleagues.
Alongside your clinical practice, you will have a key role in service development, quality improvement, education and leadership, helping to ensure our hysteroscopy service remains at the forefront of women's healthcare.
Whilst this role is advertised as an 8a, we are open to applications from Band 7 hysteroscopy nurses who are looking for advancement as well.

Service Development and Improvement
• Lead audits, quality improvement initiatives and service evaluations.
• Help shape clinical pathways, protocols and patient information resources.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, senior nurses and managers to further develop and expand the service.

Leadership and Team Working
• Act as a respected clinical leader within the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide specialist advice and support to colleagues across Women's Services.
• Contribute to workforce planning, clinic management and service performance.
• Support and mentor nursing and medical colleagues, helping develop future specialist practitioners.
Education and Research
• Deliver education and training programmes to healthcare professionals and learners.
• Support clinical supervision, mentorship and professional development.
• Contribute to research, audit and dissemination of best practice.
• Maintain and develop advanced clinical competencies through continuing professional development.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced nurse who is passionate about women's healthcare and committed to delivering outstanding patient-centred care. You will be an excellent communicator, confident working autonomously and enthusiastic about leading service improvement and innovation.
You should demonstrate:
• Significant experience in gynaecology and women's health services.
• Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Hysteroscopy competence or relevant advanced practice experience.
• A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient safety.
• Excellent communication, leadership and team-working skills.
• A desire to support and develop others through teaching and mentorship.
