<h3><strong>About the team</strong></h3>
<p>Sail is Stripe’s user interface platform and design system. We build the design language, components, tools, and front-end foundations that product teams use to create coherent, accessible, responsive, and high-quality experiences. Designers on Sail work closely with engineers and designers across Stripe to turn recurring product needs into durable solutions.</p>
<h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
<p>As a Product Designer on Sail, you’ll contribute to the visual and interaction foundations of Stripe’s products. With support from experienced designers and engineers, you’ll work on scoped components, patterns, guidance, and tools. This role is a good fit for a designer who cares deeply about visual craft, enjoys thinking in systems, and wants to understand how design decisions become production interfaces.</p>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Design and refine user interface components, patterns, and foundations for use across Stripe products</li>
<li>Create polished, coherent interfaces across interaction states, themes, and responsive layouts</li>
<li>Partner with front-end engineers to understand constraints and carry designs into production</li>
<li>Contribute to Figma libraries, prototypes, specifications, documentation, and examples</li>
<li>Gather input from product teams, share work, and iterate based on feedback</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience designing digital products</li>
<li>A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design craft</li>
<li>Experience using or contributing to a design system or component library</li>
<li>Experience working with front-end engineers</li>
<li>Working understanding of components, states, and responsive behavior</li>
<li>Experience using artificial intelligence tools in day-to-day design work, with familiarity with large language models, agents, and reusable skills or workflows</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience creating or maintaining user interface components or shared design libraries</li>
<li>Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with experience using artificial intelligence and prototyping tools to build and evaluate interactive interfaces</li>
<li>Experience designing native mobile interfaces for iOS or Android</li>
