Product Manager, Healthcare Platforms & Integrations
Job description
As the Product Manager, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the eCare NEXT platform that powers Experian Health revenue cycle solutions, including Eligibility, Demographics, RQA, Medical Necessity, Notice of Admission, Authorizations, Patient Financial Clearance, and Patient Estimates. You will guide the workflow engine, integrations, and data pipeline that connect systems and coordinate how data is transformed, evaluated by business rules, and used by downstream products. You will lead a dedicated engineering team and work with the product teams that depend on the platform.
At Experian, we believe great work happens when people come together. We're focused on attracting talent in and around our designated hub locations who are open to collaborating with colleagues in person. Aligning employees to these talent markets helps foster collaboration, strengthen team connections, and support long-term career growth within Experian. You will report to the Lead Product Manager, and reside in or near one of our collaboration hubs:
Costa Mesa, CA; San Jose, CA; Allen, TX; Austin, TX; Franklin, TN; New York, NY; Schaumburg, IL; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Seattle, WA.
You'll have the opportunity to:
• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the eCare NEXT workflow engine, system integrations, and data pipeline.
• Analyze end-to-end data flows and workflow behavior: how data enters the platform, is validated and transformed, how rules and conditions determine routing and state changes, where failures or exceptions can occur, and how outcomes affect downstream products.
• Manage and prioritize the engineering backlog and platform investments, using analytics and evidence-based business cases to balance roadmap outcomes, integration requests, reliability, technical debt, and production issues.
• Partner hands-on with engineering to shape and refine platform work through discussion, prototyping, and feedback; keep Jira items, requirements, and acceptance criteria clear enough to guide implementation and validate outcomes.
• Guide the dedicated engineering team’s delivery by setting priorities, resolving trade-offs, and reviewing work as it progresses through completion.
• Serve as the platform’s primary contact for consuming product teams, managing intake, evaluating change requests, and explaining priorities and trade-offs.
• Run discovery, demos, and roadmap reviews with internal product teams and health-system clients to understand needs and validate changes.
• Use AI tools to prototype integration and workflow capabilities, and guide platform changes through Experian’s compliance, data-protection, and regulatory processes.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a product area from strategy through delivery.
• Experience guiding an engineering team and owning a product roadmap and backlog.
• Ability to analyze end-to-end data flows and workflow behavior across systems, including how data is validated and transformed, how rules and conditions affect processing, and how dependencies or failures affect downstream outcomes.
• Experience with healthcare IT, system integrations, or backend/platform supporting multiple product teams; EHR/EMR integrations is a plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, X12, or FHIR, and HIPAA data-protection requirements.
• Experience using AI tools, like Cursor/Claude, to explore or prototype product concepts in collaboration with engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a technical background is a plus.
• Reside in or near a designated Collaboration Hub for this role.
