About the job
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
The Retail Advertiser Experiences (RAX) team empowers businesses in the retail ecosystem to successfully achieve their marketing goals through advertising with Google - by providing compelling consumer and advertiser experiences that lead to great shopping experiences and great advertising performance, growing Google's business in the process.
Within RAX, our team builds advertiser-facing controls and intelligence tools that align ads delivery with their business needs and business objectives, and empower retail advertisers navigating the generative AI shift. We equip retail advertisers with prioritized opportunities, transparent AI intelligence, and actionable optimization controls that drive measurable return on investment improvements, unlock incremental demand, and accelerate sustainable business growth, combined with full-stack ads delivery optimizations (such as Offer Cold-Start and Personalization) that best utilize retail signals to power delightful experiences tailored to user preferences.
Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising and Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use Google Ads to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
• Define and execute the roadmap for next-generation Retail AI Ads reporting (including AI search trends and insights, alongside AI-Readiness diagnostics) to give advertisers clarity, trust, and control during the AI Search transition.
• Collaborate with core SAGE teams (retrieval, bidding, and auction) to eliminate offer delivery gaps and power Shopper-Aware Personalization, leveraging retail signals to match high-intent shoppers with the right merchant catalog.
• Engage directly with Retail advertisers and Sales/Go-to-Market teams to identify and translate customer pain points into new product innovations. Establish measurement frameworks and rapid experiment pipelines with Engineering and Data Science.
• Forge partnerships and align joint roadmaps across SAGE, Ad Platform (AP), Search/AIM, Commerce, and GBO/Sales, authoring strategy papers and leading executive reviews.
