About the job
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
As a User Experience (UX) Senior Interaction Designer on the Kids and Families team, your product design is capable of both interaction and visual design. You will help close gaps that exist for younger users across Google’s products.
Responsibilities
• Drive both UX strategies and tactical executions for areas of ownership. Define processes and best practices to advance collaboration across cross-Google teams and cross-functional partners.
• Create end-to-end user experience mocks for flows, features, and improvements related to user onboarding, account lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.
• Translate complex requirements (including legal and policy) into simple, elegant, and user-friendly design solutions that have high comprehension for both parents and children.
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions, identifying opportunities to improve the user experience within the onboarding, lifecycle, and compliance domains.
• Solve small-to-medium visual and UI design issues, aligning to Android and Material design systems and guidelines.
