<h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop global architecture by combining less-available components and data centers into a highly available and resilient whole. </li>
<li>Work on latency-critical, time-sensitive and data redundancy solutions. </li>
<li>Solve broad range of problems, including investigating Mongo write concerns, minimizing cross-region TLS handshakes, and develop new systems to automate disaster detection and failovers. </li>
<li>Enable the company to increase the GDP of the internet by providing uptime and data protection.</li>
<li>Write code, scope, design, implement, and deploy solutions using multiple technologies, including: Ruby, Java, Mongo, Postgres, and other necessary tools as required.</li>
<li>Investigate issues in live, distributed production systems.</li>
<li>Collaborate across the company to provide an understanding of multi-region architectures, high durability implementation patterns, and best practices. </li>
<li>Learn, meet, and uphold high engineering standards through design and code review.</li>

<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<p>Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-bachelor’s progressive software development work experience. In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field, plus three (3) years of software development work experience.</p>
<p>Must also have three (3) years of experience in each of the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Go, Ruby, or Java programming languages;</li>
<li>Database internals including data movement, leader election, and quorums;</li>
<li>Cloud infrastructure services, including: S3, EBS, EC2, and VPCs, to deploy scalable applications;</li>
<li>Designing and building Temporal workflows;</li>
<li>Using Trino SQL for data analysis and visualization; and</li>
<li>Designing fault-tolerant systems using data sharding and replication strategies.</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: $206,086 - $285,600/yr.</p>
<p>This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>40 hrs/week</p>
<p>50% Telecommuting permitted.</p>
