About the job
The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives the partner strategy and manages key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more universally accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.
In this role, you will use your thought leadership, strategic thinking, pipeline management and execution skills, along with your passion for working with partners, in order to help drive YouTube’s growth in Japan.
As a member of the YouTube Product Partnerships team, you will lead execution and management of the mobile, broadband, and other partner relationships. In addition to agreement sourcing, negotiation, and partner management, you will also help to develop the strategy for partnerships in Japan.
You will work with our partners on developing new product integrations, consumer offers, marketing campaigns, and strategic plans in order to drive user adoption and awareness of YouTube’s product offerings. You will also manage business growth with our partners as part of our next generation implementations.
Our Product Partnerships team works on game-changing ideas, from technological experiments to the expansion of existing businesses into new territories. We are a team of technologists, entrepreneurs and leaders with an eye for what's next, working across Google to develop products and ideas that revolutionize the way people connect with information.
At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.
Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
• Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
• Ideate and drive complex agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
• Serve as the relationship manager for our current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
• Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
