• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in network infrastructure, network design, network architecture, optical design, and fiber architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in IP, OSP, optical networking design and planning.
• Experience with program management in the networking area and in delivering infrastructure assets and vendor management.
• Ability to learn and balance business and technical understanding to drive the long-term objectives of the organization.
• Strong problem solving skills, with ability to adopt a data-driven, analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with a diverse range of people and job functions.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
In this technical program management role, you will own and drive the strategic network planning direction for the region projects for the EMEA Network Acquisitions (GNA).
This position is highly analytical, involving data-driven analysis to develop the metro’s roadmap, compiling the strategic vision in supporting the network assets procurement plan such as RSP, fiber and leased wavelengths in order to meet forecast demand and the business strategy, while complying and influencing network architecture guidelines. You will be expected to optimize Google’s Production Network for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining the ability to meet new product rollout in a timely manner. This will be accomplished by enabling close cross-functional collaboration and teamwork with network engineers, strategic negotiators, and varying TPgMs across multiple teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Ireland: €118000 - €120000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
• Architect three-year infrastructure roadmaps alongside cross-functional partners to scale regional capacity, control costs, and support asset procurement for deal approvals.
• Deliver deep technical risk assessments through extensive "what-if" analyses, ensuring resilient, high-performance network design choices across the entire footprint.
• Interface with internal business owners to capture capacity drivers and deadlines, coordinating closely with deployment and engineering teams to track end-to-end progress.
• Partner across technical teams to refine planning workflows, reduce delivery lead times, and integrate AI into tooling to enhance data integrity.
• Ingest and translate regional demand flows into optimized Layer 0 and Layer 3 asset plans, factoring in market trends and technology evolution.
